Dr. Tahmina Arieb is a compassionate and dedicated therapeutic licensed optometrist at Little Lake Family Eye Care. She brings a unique approach to her practice. With a strong foundation in family practice, she has a special interest in diabetic eye care, ocular disease, urgent care, glaucoma co-management, postoperative care, and pediatrics.
Dr. Arieb's journey in optometry began with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Toronto. She further honed her skills with a Doctorate of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Arieb's extensive training is not limited to academic institutions. She has also dedicated her time to internships at:
- The Veterans Affairs Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida
- Boston Ophthalmic Consultants in Northern Virginia
- Dimock Community Health Center in Boston
- Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, Massachusetts
She further shows her commitment to community service through volunteer work. She provides primary eye care, glasses, and treatment for underserved populations in the greater Boston community. She has also participated in a humanitarian mission with VOSH to La Barca, Mexico. This showcases her global perspective and dedication to helping those in need.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Arieb is very family-oriented and loves spending quality time with her eight and six year old children. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and curling up with a good book.
When not taking care of her family or patients, Dr. Arieb loves to cook and try new dishes, practice yoga, and swim. Her passion for helping others and her love for her family make her a beloved member of both the Little Lake Family Eye Care team and her community.
